Join us for a Friday Fun Night with My Sister's House. Pebble Tossers will host a fun interactive activities night for the moms and kids.
Women's and Children's services are provided by The Atlanta Mission at My Sister's House, a 264-bed facility that offers overnight and residential care for women and women with children experiencing homelessness. Because of COVID, the current occupancy is around 100.
COVID UPDATE: The Atlanta Mission has updated its COVID Safety Protocols. As of August 9, 2021, all Atlanta Mission staff must be vaccinated. This requirement has been extended to all volunteers and proof of vaccination must be provided prior to the event. In addition, all volunteers as of September 21 must be 18 and older. Volunteers will also be asked to wear masks when on-site. As of now, the residents of My Sister's House are encouraged to be vaccinated but are not required.
What is Friday Fun Night? Volunteers help host the outdoor event. Activities will include, bubble making, hula hoop games, beach balls, and etc.
Volunteers must be at least 11 yrs. old and if under 16 you need to have an adult with you. This opportunity is not available for the completion of court-ordered community service.
The Atlanta Mission has onsite parking for My Sister's House off 9th Street. From Howell Mill, turn onto 9th St. (going behind the Atlanta Mission building), the parking area is on the right. Go up to the gate and press the button and tell them you are coming to My Sister's House for the Activity Night. Park anywhere in the lot. Walk through the playground and go straight ahead to the glass doors in the front to meet the Pebble Tossers' Service Leader.
