Our Cause Area for October is Animals + Wildlife. This is an Open Project.
This hands-on project is perfect for animal advocates. Pebble Tossers, W-Underdogs, and The Act Bigger Foundation are partnering together to build dog houses in order to "break the chains".
While rescuing discarded dogs, W-Underdogs is a nonprofit that teaches kids to develop their own voice and become local ambassadors with dreams of global solutions for the animals and the citizens of our world. The W-Underdogs' goal is to address the challenges that disadvantaged at-risk youth face and provide them with the skills and sense of accomplishment to help them overcome the challenges in their lives. They believe that the W-Underdogs program will energize the families, kids and in turn, contribute to a better community both short and long term.
Volunteers will be assembling and building dog houses out of recycled materials that will be distributed to underserved families with dogs in the community. Helping keep dogs safe with dog houses is a step toward education against animal cruelty.
New minimum age is 8yrs old. Volunteers under the age of 16 must have an adult with them.
For the month of October, this is an Open Project. We invite NonPebble Tossers members to join us and see what Pebble Tossers is all about. Nonmembers click here to register.
