Organizing & Sorting Donations

Foster Care Support Foundation (FCSF) serves a vital and growing need throughout Georgia by providing free clothing, infant equipment and developmental toys to thousands of children in foster and relative care. Foster Care Support has been in operation for 18 years and has served over 50,000 children with free clothing, toys, school supplies and safe infant care items throughout every county in GA.

Volunteers will be participating in a variety of tasks at the distribution center including sorting clothes, restocking shelves, washing toys, putting together or taking apart equipment, sorting toys and making sure all pieces are there, and other tasks as needed. Please wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothes to work in. Participants may extend their shift. Check-in with the volunteer coordinator at the front desk upon arrival.

COVID-19 UPDATES: Volunteers need to wear a mask upon entering, use the hand sanitizer by the computer before signing in. Gloves are not allowed since we don't know where they have been. There is a handwashing station on the sink in the sorting room.

The minimum age for this project is 12. If you are 16+ you may volunteer without a parent if a parent/guardian signs the waiver form. All volunteers must sign and bring the volunteer waiver with them if this is your first time volunteering with the FCSF.

NOTE: For required community service hours, FCSF only honors traffic violations with proof of the violation.
