Smart Kids Smart Lunch Program

HOPE Atlanta (Action Ministries) needs volunteers for their Smart Lunch Smart Kid Program.

Nearly 1 million children in Georgia schools are eligible to receive free or reduced-price breakfast & lunch, a crucial meal that disappears in the summer and school breaks. Smart Lunch, Smart Kid, through the dedication of thousands of volunteers and donors, will continue to ensure that these children are fed during the COVID-19 outbreak. To keep the kids, volunteers, and staff safe, we are packing and distributing non-perishable meal kits instead of sack lunches.

The team at HOPE Atlanta is working diligently to serve our communities through the COVID-19 outbreak! HOPE Atlanta is committed to the safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors. We are closely monitoring announcements from the Governor and the CDC to ensure that they are following recommended guidelines. They are now requiring that all volunteers wear cloth masks or secure bandanas and gloves while serving with HOPE Atlanta.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION DETAILS: For his project, all volunteers MUST register directly with HOPE Atlanta. Registration on the Pebble Tossers registration system allows members to easily record service hours but not to confirm participation. We have listed several dates on our calendar in order to promote the project however, volunteers can register for any open date with HOPE Atlanta. Only one volunteer can register per date however, family members can be added by a Pebble Tossers staff member. Also, please pay attention to pick-up times and delivery times in the HOPE SignUpGenius.
