Gardening at Lost Corner Preserve

Friends of Lost Corner (FOLC) is a non-profit group created in conjunction with the City of Sandy Springs to help make the Lost Corner Preserve, a beautiful 24 acre preserve a usable recreation area for residents to enjoy. Located in the heart of Sandy Springs, Lost Corner Preserve has a unique history as a working farm, dating back to the settlement of the area in the mid-1800s and the Civil War.

Volunteers will help FOLC with maintaining The Lost Corner Preserve activities may include: adding wood chips to the area around the outside of the Community Garden, weeding & chipping the interior Garden path, planting, trail maintenance, removing invasive plants, & etc.

This project is perfect for all ages, families and groups.

WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. You may want to wear a hat, sunscreen or bug spray. Please bring your own work gloves and a water bottle. They suggest you wear a mask to protect others and yourself. There are bees in the garden.
