COVID UPDATE FROM OPEN HAND ATLANTA
From a safety perspective, we will continue to follow the guidelines put forth by the CDC for proper hygiene and sanitary practices as well as the other common-sense measures communicated previously, and have implemented additional precautions.

We are taking the following precautions in response to COVID-19.

  • We are limiting interaction with our clients.

  • Condensing client meal deliveries to a weeks' worth of meals one day a week.

  • We are leaving client meals on doorsteps instead of having the clients open their doors and be exposed.

  • When on Open Hand's Campus, we are working in small groups of people spread out around our building.

  • We are limiting volunteer orientations to online to follow the CDC evolving guidelines.

  • We are also not allowing anyone over 65 years old or at high risk for getting the virus to volunteer at this time to protect them from possible exposure.
