Pitch in at the Recycling Center

Keep North Fulton Beautiful is an environmental non-profit that provides education and conservation programs to the communities of Johns Creek and Sandy Springs. Volunteers are needed to support their mission in a variety of ways.

Recycling Center Volunteers: Guide customers to the correct bin for their recyclables, assist in collecting items, sort incoming recyclables, and bale cardboard and plastics so that our materials are ready to be recycled into new products. Volunteers will be outdoors for the duration of this opportunity and working in close proximity to heavy items, motor vehicles, and machinery.

COVID-19 Precautions: All volunteers will be outdoors, wearing masks if they are not fully vaccinated, and adhering to social distancing guidelines. Hand sanitizer will also be available. By volunteering for this opportunity, you agree to abide by these rules during this service opportunity.

Age Restrictions: We suggest volunteers be 10 and older. Volunteers 17 and younger must have a guardian co-sign a liability waiver. Volunteers 16 and under must also have a chaperone 21+ years old present with them during their service (one chaperone for every three 16 year-olds and younger present).

How to Register: All volunteers need to register on the KNFB SignUpGenius by clicking here. In the Comments Section, add Pebble Tossers Volunteer. Not all of the shifts available are on the Pebble Tossers Service Calendar. Volunteers can register for any day available on the PT Service Calendar to allow them to track and record service hours.
