Access Grows is a community garden initiative with InCommunity providing access and inclusion in community green spaces for individuals with diverse abilities. InCommunity provides care and support to those with developmental and intellectual disabilities (IDD). InCommunity is a consistent part of their lives where they see their friends, interact with the community & arts, and practice daily living skills.
Eggshell Seedlings Project Description:
Volunteers will plant seeds in eggshells, grow the plants and then give them to InCommunity to be replanted in one of their gardens. Details on how to plant the seedlings and supplies needed will be included in the confirmation email. If you would like to participate in an online demonstration, InCommunity will present this project during our NonProfit Expo on April 18.
Delivery: On May 1st, between 10 am - 1 pm InCommunity will be hosting May Day Garden Fest. Volunteers can drop off their plants during this time. Volunteers can also celebrate Spring with a morning of gardening, yard clean-up, and a collection point for donated seedlings and other garden supplies.
