Refugee Women's Network Donation Distribution & Outreach

The Refugee Women's Network (RWN) is hosting a Donation Distribution & Outreach event on May 14, and Pebble Tossers volunteers are needed to help serve the resettled refugees.

Refugee Women's Network inspires and equips refugee and immigrant women to become leaders in their homes, businesses, and communities.

About the Event

Volunteers must be at least 6 yrs old and with an adult if under 16. Volunteers will meet at the RWN office to load supplies into cars and then go to one of two apartment complexes to distribute the items. Masks are required.

- Volunteers will set up tables and prepare them for the distribution of supplies to families.

- Volunteers will be distributing hygiene kits, school supplies, and clothing to refugee families in apartment complexes.

- Volunteers will be providing outreach materials and resources to families to get them familiar with the RWN and promote a new Youth Advisory Council initiative of the City of Clarkston.

- Volunteers will promote the Summer Sizzler Celebration at RWN offices on May 28th. Free games, activities, and food will be provided during the event on the 28th.

Some volunteers will go through the apartment complex to invite people to the tables to receive supplies and to provide the City of Clarkston with outreach assistance to get the ages of all children in the families. They will create a survey for volunteers to ask families.

Anyone who speaks Farsi is encouraged to attend!
