Immigration & Refugee Services Front Desk Volunteer

Come serve in our diverse office alongside our staff of attorneys, paralegals, and refugee case managers! Catholic Charities Atlanta's Immigration Legal Services and Refugee Resettlement Services departments are looking for an organized and passionate volunteer! This individual will assist walk-ins seeking services from our offices. This individual will be the first face of welcome to those visiting our office. With the assistance of staff, this volunteer will direct walk-ins through a screening tool to determine their needs, and asses their need for any immediate items.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcome all visitors to CCA office
• Answer questions and assist clients with their inquiries
• Assist walk-in individuals with screening tool
• Provide walk-in individuals with emergency supplies and external resource list as needed
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed
• Perform additional clerical duties as needed
• Aid Refugee Resettlement office with walk-in days

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable in direct customer service
• Comfortable communicating within potential language barriers
• Must embrace diversity and respect cultural differences
• Have transportation to CCA’s Northlake Office 2305 Parklake Drive, Suite 150, Atlanta, GA 30345

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Customer service experience preferred
• Clerical / administrative assistance experience preferred
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English), but not required
